Creativity and communication: my first loves.
Creativity exists not just in pictures, illustrations, photography and video, but also in words; words on a page, words spoken and unspoken. So often there is much meaning in what is left unsaid.
I love, more than anything, to build a picture using words, playfully interacting with each perfect product of our language, exploring the art of all possible meaning, and decorating sentences, verbosely or succinctly, to ultimately get a message across. I also love communicating with people and understanding what exactly someone is wanting to say, and then helping them to get this message out in the most appropriate and suitable way.
I relish the opportunity to fine-tune grammar, spelling and punctuation and I love getting it right. Just like a difficult decision, you know in your heart, when you have chosen the right one. For me it’s the same with words. In truth, I am a logophile.
