Beds: Firm and comfortable, draped in white cotton sheets and cosseted under highly effective mosquito nets. Rooms are light-filled beach bungalows with air-conditioning and a fridge. There’s a semi open-air bathroom for showering under the stars (and mosquito net) and a daybed on your terrace if you’ve had enough of the beach. The rooms are simple, yet cosy and you want for nothing. Pared-back Lombok luxury.
Breakfast: On the beach with the turquoise waters of the Bali Sea almost tickling your toes. Tuck into fresh tropical fruit with yoghurt, coffee and freshly squeezed juices then move to a sun lounger two steps in front for a post-brekkie snooze. For lunchtime snacks, a sundowner or great food head to Mowie’s further up the beach.
Where to practice yoga: On the beach early morning or on your beach hut terrace. For a class, pad down to bamboo beach hut, Mandalablue Yoga. Go for the 4.30pm class and you’ll have the sunset on your face by the end of your practice.
Unique WP factor: Weekly cinema nights under the stars with beanbags for seating. And the sunset. It’s absolutely spectacular. You feel as though you’re at the edge of the world as the sun dips down below the horizon.
